Milan Historical Museum

Much of the history of the Milan, Ohio area can be found at the Milan Historical Museum which is just a few doors down and across the street from Edison's Birthplace. The Milan Historical Museum was born when a group of local citizens encouraged the purchase of the "1846 Galpin House" in 1954.  Today the Milan Historical Museum, shown in our photos below) has expanded to cover an acre of beautifully groomed grounds and lush gardens among the seven building complex that celebrates the history of the Milan area. Glass and doll collections, a museum gift shop, authentic general store and blacksmith barn are just a few of the attractions at the Milan Historical Museum.
