I always want to know the story behind abandoned homes. Why was it abandoned and what is the history of the home and why was it forsaken. The home that is featured is this pictorial was once a stately Victorian home with beautiful woodwork around the home. I don't know why this home was abandoned, but clearly it's beyond the point of restoration. At some point, somebody is going to tear this home down to the ground and it will be gone forever. But for now it stands at the corner of Rt.113 and River Road and each day I drive by it and can't help feeling a little sad. I've shown it in sepia, black & white photos with an accent on the lines. |
