Milan Town Square - Milan, Ohio

Reminiscent of a rural New England town (see the photos below), the Milan, Ohio retail business area is built around the charming town square which was established as the town's centerpiece in 1867 along with the Solders & Sailors Monument which was dedicated on July 4, 1867. The monument features the names of all 330 citizens of Milan who served in the Civil War. The clock towered town hall was built in 1876 and the Milan Library in 1912. The large picturesque gazebo was added in the 1960's and The Young Edison Statue in 1984. Annual activities on the square include  Antiques On The Square in July and the famous Milan Melon Festival during the Labor Day Weekend each year.
